Open To Interpretation
I've kind of taken an interest in writing poetry nowadays. However, so many of them are melancholic. This one could be a bit more difficult to understand. Try and interpret it.
I see four walls,
I hear a few calls,
Calls for help, calls of distress,
Some of which I cannot express.
I could clearly witness,
Some at the brink of tears,
It is not easy to swallow,
The feeling is not hollow.
This one place of whites,
Is lit with clear bright lights,
So tranquil, so solemn,
Despair, heartbroken.
This is torture,
I felt anger,
These are innocent,
It is so unpleasant.
Where is tranquility?
Where is humanity?
They seem so near,
But "Yet so far" is what I hear.
How many more shall perish?
When will they ever cherish,
The peaceful moments,
Now so uncommon?
Who has given a thought,
When will this nonsense stop,
But as long as there's still man,
Many will fall in its own hands.

P/S: After reading the comments, let it be known that the above piece was not due to the post by the Maverick where I "blatantly put in 'Huh?' as the comment". :-D

well, this does seem to have something to do with my post - the one where you so blatantly put "Huh?" as a comment... *glares*
it was actually a sarcastic piece about mankind thru an alien point of view, especially our belligerent tendencies.
i'd say this refers to our innate ability for war-mongering?
