It's decided

Ah, home at last! It's my semester holidays now. I've got six weeks worth of holidays. I don't know what to do within this six weeks myself, so I think I'll just hang out with some friends and do some extra reading. Also, I'm going to play more piano because I've missed a lot of piano playing during my study period in university.

I've just barely come home for a few hours when my parents came to me and asked for my passport-sized photographs. I wondered why, but soon my questions were answered.

"It's confirmed," my parents said.

"We are going to Beijing for a tour."

"When?" I asked.

"18th of June till the 25th of June," was the reply.

So, at last, I shall be able to step foot on the Great Wall of China! And I shall be visitting the Forbidden City! I thought that my parents would opt for the Yunnan Province of China because Beijing is going to be very hot during summer, however, they've decided to visit Beijing instead. They have seen enough of scenery in China, I supposed. I think they'd like to see some historical artifacts and historical places in Beijing.

It isn't my first trip to China, oh no! I'd been to Shanghai in December 2003 after my PMR examinations. I had always wanted to go to Beijing because of the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. I hope that this tour is going to be a memorable one for me.

This is my first time travelling overseas during summer. Throughout all my travels in four-season countries, they were all at the end of autumn or early winter. They said that it is going to be warm in Beijing during summer, as warm as it is now in Malaysia. Well, looks like I can expect myself being very dark after my returning from China! Hey, don't mistake me as an Indian, OK?

As I shall be travelling from the 18th till the 25th of June, looks like I shall not be able to blog for that eight or so days. However, you can be rest assured that I shall put up the pictures of my travels once I get the photographs developed.

OK, I can write more now. I've got a dinner appointment with some of my friends later (Kei Fai, Sheng Yuen, etc.) at the Ipoh Stadium. So, I've got to go and take my bath now.
