I'm back, at last!
OK, you must be wondering where the heck have I been for the last few weeks. Well, to be honest, I'd not been able to access the Internet from my campus for the past fortnight. All the posts you see are so far written from home. I've got my Internet connection from my room already just recently, but the speed is extremely SLOW! I could hardly get into the main page to login, and it was even more difficult to get into the posting page! Therefore, I've decided to post an entry now at home.
OK, let me tell you what happened. My lectures have started already and my first week of lectures were enjoyable. No tutorials and labs yet so I could relax quite a bit. For the first week, we were given an idea about what we are going to learn in this semester. We were also briefed on our tutorials and labs. You won't believe this. I love the laboratories here! It's not that I'm disowning my former school or anything like that, but the laboratories here are simply impressive! The labs are located at the New Academic Complex (I'll post a picture here later to let you see it once I get one), and there are strict rules that must be adhered to. During Chemistry labs, for example, we must wear our lab coats (the ones that scientists wear) and goggles. I look kind of funny in these extra attire.
Things I learn now in university are much different and more interesting. I've got to take the following subjects: Engineering Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics, Thinking Skills (interesting!), Moral Studies (no, it's not like SPM Moral Education. It's much more interesting!). Although the amount of subjects seem to be fewer, nevertheless my schedule is quite pack, because of tutorials and labs. There are only three lectures for each subject except Moral Studies (one lecture per week), but it's the tutorials and labs that make our timetable so packed. We have hardly some time to rest! I even have a tutorial to attend at night from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm on Monday!
Anyway, life in campus has been quite an enjoyable one. I love the atmosphere and the people there. I get to meet different kinds of people from different countries and different states. Some come from Vietnam, some from Equatorial Guinea, some from Iran, Egypt, South Africa, Indonesia, Myanmar and many more. It's great to be able to exchange knowledge of culture.
I know that I should be able to write more, but the thing is that I've got assignments to keep up with. However, I'll try to write more often. Maybe I'll post an entry at least once a week during my English CALL Lab when I can access the Internet there even faster and better.
Until then, bye!
