It's almost March

Great, it's already the 21st of February 2006 and I have like one more week before it's going to be March. Time sure flies very fast when you're occupied with things to do. Days go by unnoticed, and there is no stop in the midst of all the hype.

I've just received an SMS and a telephone call from my friend who is serving his National Service in Lumut saying that his camp is organising a trip to my university. He seems excited about it and is looking forward to meeting Jared and I. This is going to be quite a special meet-up.

So, morning will be the best time for me to access the Internet, because very few students or people will use mIRC at that time. Therefore, I will use whatever time I have in the morning to try and update my blog. However, as I have lectures in the morning as well, please do not expect me to write long entries! If I'm lucky, I might have a good connection at night, then I shall update my blog at night too, if possible. If you see any new blog entries from me, that probably meant that my room Internet connection is OK or that I'm in the CALL Lab.

So, what have I been doing recently? Well, I've just submitted my Physics assignment yesterday (the deadline was yesterday); some of my friends did not start their assignments until the very last minute (I wonder how did they complete their assignments so fast; no explanations to their answers, I guess). Yesterday I had my Chemistry lab and today I shall have to go for my Physics lab as well.

Tests will be coming soon, and my lecturer has just informed us that our Chemistry test will be held on the 9th of March 2006, so I've got to start revising now! I'm cutting my time on mIRC and Internet already. It's really high time to get serious. One may play around during PMR or even SPM, but fooling around during university and you can expect to be dismissed in your later years in university. Besides Chemistry, I'm expecting other subjects to be tested around those dates as well.

I've heard news or rumours from some of my friends in the National Service camps that the date of release for the SPM examination results will be on the 13th or 14th of March. This time, the Education Ministry will not be repeating the mistake they did last year. In 2005, the SPM results were released during the National Service (NS), which caused quite a commotion to a lot of NS trainees. This year, the first batch of NS trainees will be released on the 11th of March and the second batch of NS trainees will only report on the 19th of March. We anticipated that the results will be out between the 11th and the 19th of March. Sure enough, we've got news that results will be issued on either the 13th or 14th of March, of course, subject to confirmation.

I've now got another four minutes to write before I've got to rush off for my Engineering Mathematics lecture. All students in UTP have started their co-curricular activities already. Jared and I have taken Basic Dance and Movement as our co-curricular whereas some have chosen Modern Music, Sports Science, Gamelan or Drama and Theatre. I feel that it's quite fortunate that my co-curricular activities are held on Saturdays, but I wished that it would be held in the morning. My co-curricular activities would commence from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. (three hours of dancing!). Had it been held earlier, I would be able to go home for the weekends and stay overnight at home then. But I could still do that after my co-curricular activities in the evening actually. I pity those who have to go for co-curricular activities on Sundays (but it really depends on how other people think about having co-curricular on Sundays. Some say it's good because they won't be bored on Sundays doing nothing) because they can't even rest on Sundays. At least I could take a bus down to Ipoh with my friends and find some entertainment in Jusco!

OK, that's all from me now. I've got to fly to the lecture hall already. Until next time, goodbye for now!
